Solicitor Panel Terms

BrandOps Limited (company no. 11224451) · 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London W1W 7LT

Last updated: May 2026

1. Referral fee

When you accept a client referral through the CaseBuddy platform, a flat fee of £99 incl. VAT is charged to you via Stripe at the point of acceptance. This fee is charged before full client details and case history are unlocked.

The referral fee is non-refundable once you have confirmed acceptance and client details have been disclosed to you.

There is no minimum commitment, no monthly fee, and no exclusivity requirement. You pay only for the cases you choose to accept.

2. SRA disclosure obligation

As required by the SRA Transparency Rules 2018 and the SRA Code of Conduct (paragraph 8.11), you must disclose this referral arrangement and its cost to any client you accept via CaseBuddy.

Specifically, you must inform the client: (a) that a referral arrangement exists between you and BrandOps Limited; (b) that you have paid a referral fee of £99 incl. VAT; and (c) that this fee has not been passed on to the client. CaseBuddy is free for clients.

3. Client data handling

Client personal data — including name, email address, case details, AI-generated case notes, full conversation history, and any uploaded documents — is shared with you only after acceptance and payment.

You must handle this data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You must not use it for any purpose other than advising the client on their case.

Before accepting the referral, you will receive an anonymised AI-generated case summary only, containing no personal identifying information.

4. Pricing review

BrandOps Limited reserves the right to review the referral fee with 30 days’ written notice. Notice will be given by email to the address on your account.

Solicitors who join during our early-growth phase may benefit from preferential rates when pricing is reviewed. This is not a contractual commitment but reflects our intention to reward early partners.

5. Platform availability and case volume

CaseBuddy is in early growth. Case volume will increase as our marketing and SEO scales. We make no representation as to the number of referrals you will receive or the frequency at which they will be available.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your panel membership if you decline an unreasonable proportion of referrals without cause, fail to respond to referrals within 5 working days, or act in a manner inconsistent with these terms or your SRA obligations.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
