Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost to join?

There is no upfront cost or monthly fee. You pay a flat fee of £99 incl. VAT per referral you accept, charged via Stripe at the point of acceptance. No percentage of the matter value is taken.

How are clients matched to me?

Our AI analyses the client's case and matches it to solicitors based on practice area, location, availability, and hourly rate range.

Can I decline a referral?

Absolutely. You review an anonymised case brief first and can accept or decline. There is no obligation to take any referral.

What information do I see before accepting?

You see the practice area, case type, urgency, a summary of key facts, and risk flags — but no personal client details until you formally accept.

Is Case Buddy regulated by the SRA?

Case Buddy is a technology platform, not a law firm. We are not regulated by the SRA. However, all solicitors on our network must be SRA-registered and in good standing.

How quickly do I need to respond?

We ask for a response within 48 hours. If you don't respond, the referral may be offered to another solicitor on the network.
